Limited Warranty Registration: Sonim is committed to providing reliable products and support. Our 3 Year Limited Warranty for wireless phones is exceptional in the industry. We recommend you register your Sonim product on our website or on your device. The information you provide in connection with the product registration will allow us to provide you with better support.
Applications: Sonim offers mobile applications and cloud-based services to enhance the capability of Sonim products. These applications and services collect information from you and your device to provide you with tools to better use and manage your device.

If you choose to register your Sonim device with us, you will be asked to enter your personal information, which could include, but is not limited to, the following:

We provide cloud-based tools and services through the Sonim Cloud website located at www.sonimcloud.com. The tools are a valuable resource that will help you realize the potential of your device. To use the cloud-based services, you will be asked to enter the following personal information:
Information Collected by Sonim Applications
Your Sonim phone may come pre-loaded with Sonim applications, such as our SCOUT client. The SCOUT app is a useful tool that includes the following functionality: Sonim Setup Wizard, App Updater, SafeGuard, Contact Transfer, BLE Connect, Kiosk Mode, MDM Helper, Warranty Registration, Remote Support, Sonim Chat, and Sonim Care. These applications are designed to provide tools for you to better use and manage your device, for example to keep up to date on software improvements. To do that, Sonim collects certain information about the device. The applications may automatically collect some or all of the following information:
IMEI – International Mobile Equipment Identity number (device serial number)
Mobile Network Code
Mobile Country Code
Date/time of SCOUT client check-in with cloud server
Free device memory (ROM)
Current battery percentage
Current battery status (charging/not charging)
Maximum battery temperature recorded
List of all installed applications – marketing name of the application
List of all installed applications – package name of the application
List of all installed applications – version number of the application

3. How Do We Use Your Personal Information?
Limited Warranty Registration: Sonim collects your personal information for the purpose of creating and maintaining a warranty registration database. Sonim will use the information you provide to identify you and provide you with warranty service, product update information and special offers.
Website: Sonim collects your personal information so we may use it to notify you about updates to our software, applications, devices and/or website. We may also use your personal information to contact you for marketing purposes and special offers, including periodic mailings, telephone calls or e-mails regarding new products or services.
Applications: Sonim collects information regarding your device for product management purposes, such as to determine if you are using the latest software versions and to analyze how your device is performing. This data is used to provide you with exceptional service and reliable communication products.

We understand you may not wish to share your personal information with us.
If you choose not to share your personal information with us, you may not have access to available services or tools designed to help manage your device and optimize its functionality.

We use industry standard physical, technical and administrative security measures and safeguards to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal information. Your personal information is stored on our secure server using Amazon Web Services (“AWS”), a cloud computing platform. Your personal information can only be accessed and retrieved by Sonim Technical Operations employees and only for the purposes stated in this policy, including validating your warranty and assessing the functionality of your device.
Sonim does not share access to your personal information with any third party.
7. What If My Personal Information Is Compromised?
If your personal information was, or is reasonably believed to have been, acquired by an unauthorized person or organization, Sonim will notify you of the breach without undue delay.
Additionally, Sonim will, not later than seventy-two (72) hours after having become aware of it, notify the applicable state and local supervisory authorities. The notification will:
describe the nature of the personal data breach including if possible, the categories and approximate number of data subjects affected and the categories and approximate number of personal data records concerned;
communicate the name and contact details of Sonim’s data protection officer or other contact point for more information;
describe the likely consequences of the personal data breach;
describe the measures taken or proposed to be taken to address the personal data breach, including, where appropriate, measures to mitigate its possible adverse effects.

10. California Do Not Track Disclosure
California law requires us to let you know how we respond to web browser Do Not Track signals. “Do Not Track” is a privacy preference that users can set in their web browsers. At this time, Sonim does not respond to Do Not Track browser settings or signals. However, some third-party sites may keep track of your browsing activities and collect personal information about you when they serve you content.

If you are under the age of 16, please do not attempt to register with us or provide us with any of your personal information. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 16, we will promptly delete the information. Sonim does not employ automated decision-making that results in automated decisions being taken that legally or significantly affect you.

Sonim is a global technology company. We receive and process your personal information in the United States. In order to provide services, we may also need to transfer your personal information to locations in other jurisdictions. We will do so only in accordance with applicable privacy protection laws. Sonim binds its global employees and third-party providers to our same high standard of personal information protection.
