Q: What does the Sync option in SCOUT do?
A: The Sync option allows you to manually sync the SCOUT profile configuration from Sonim Cloud.
Q: Do I need to manually Sync SCOUT with Cloud all the time?
A: SCOUT shall automatically sync with Cloud every time you launch SCOUT. It also syncs with Cloud as per the sync interval set from Cloud (default set to once every 24 hours). Q: Do I need to keep SCOUT in the foreground while it Syncs with Sonim Cloud?
A: SCOUT syncs with Sonim Cloud in the background, you do not have to keep it in the foreground.

A: SCOUT syncs those configurations that you set on Cloud. Below are the configurations you can set on Cloud. For more information, you can check the Cloud FAQs:

Q: SCOUT is not applying the configuration I added in Sonim Cloud?
A: If SCOUT is not applying the configurations, you should check the following items. If the issue persists then you should contact Sonim support.
- Check if the device is connected to internet by opening a web browser and navigating to a webpage
- If you are on WiFi, check if your firewall has Sonim Cloud URL whitelisted-https://www.sonimcloud.com/
- Try manual Sync
- Check the IMEI number on Cloud and ensure it matches the IMEI of the device
If the configuration is added to a device group, then check if the device is part of the group
