XP3.20 Battery Tips

The following are tips and tricks to help you extend and maximize the usage of your Sonim XP3.20 battery.
  1. Turn OFF GPS when not in use
    Turn OFF at Menu > Tools > GPS > Off

  2. Turn OFF Bluetooth when not in use
    Turn OFF Bluetooth at Menu > Tools > Bluetooth > Activate > Off
    Make sure Bluetooth icon is not displayed on the Home screen

  3. Backlight level: Reduce the Brightness of the screen
    Change Backlight level at Menu > Settings > Display > Backlight level

  4. Backlight duration: Keep the Backlight duration to mimimum
    Change Backlight duration at Menu > Settings > Display > Backlight duration

  5. WAP: Keep the WAP browser closed when not in use
    Make sure torch light is turned OFF when not in use (Torch can be turned ON even by mistake when the camera key is longpressed in keypad locked or unlocked condition)

  6. Java: Terminating the Java application instead of Suspending extends the battery performance
    While exiting the application, when 'Terminate application?' is prompted select Yes

  7. Camera: When camera is not in use, keep the application closed. Avoid using flash when in bright/sunny environment
    To disable Camera flash, Menu > Camera > Option > Flash > Off

  8. FM: Running FM on loudspeaker with maximum volume needs more power. Try reducing the volume or listen to FM using the wired headset.

  9. Make use of Auto Power OFF and Auto Power ON features to automatically Power OFF and Power ON the phone at specified time when the phone is not in use.
    The feature is at Menu > Settings > General settings
